A stormy holiday

Many people are already planning their annual vacation. Do you already know where you're going in 2025?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: We're celebrating my father's 80th birthday with a trip to his favourite places: first the Amalfi Coast, then a few days in the mountains and in October to St. Barths.
Charly Sturm: Of course I'll be there for all of it - this year I'd like to travel to places I haven't been to yet. Morocco and Bodrum are at the top of my list. In summer, I love taking short trips to Italy. The food is simply unbeatable - who would argue with me...

Team mountains or sea?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: I love the mountains. Gstaad is the perfect place for me - both in winter and in summer. I can go swimming, mushroom picking, skiing and hiking there. This place offers everything you need to find peace and quiet.
Charly Sturm: That's a difficult question! The mountains definitely have their appeal - especially in summer, when nature is so breathtaking and it doesn't get too hot. I enjoy the spectacular views, exploring rivers and lakes and always being surrounded by peaceful tranquillity.

Can you tell us your best vacation memories from your childhood?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: I remember many family outings, like camping in the woods, surrounded by pine trees and coastlines. And skiing with my mother, who always had chocolate with her when we felt cold or hungry.
Charly Sturm: I particularly remember my time in Austria. I learned to ski in Zürs, which is still a favorite place for me, not only because of the sport, but also because of the special atmosphere and the great food.

What three things do you always take with you on long trips?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: A hot water bottle! Unfortunately, it's often cold in flight cabins. I also always have letters and cards from my daughters with me - they are some of my most precious mementos. When it comes to skincare: The Hyaluronic Serum plus the Face Cream - ideal for moisturizing during a flight - and beyond, of course.
Charly Sturm: I have to take a good book with me so that I can really switch off! In terms of skincare, I can't live without our Face Cream Rich and the Everything Eye Patches. Oh, and I pack a cozy sweater to keep me comfortable on the plane or in the hotel.

Speaking of skincare: how do you adapt it when traveling?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: Depending on the climate: in cold regions I use rich creams such as Face Cream Rich, in warmer regions I rely on lighter moisturizers and sun protection - all in my practical travel sizes.
Charly Sturm: I also keep it simple in summer and rely on the Face Cream and Sun Drops SPF 50. After sunbathing, the Face Mask and Calming Serum are real lifesavers. Incidentally, the necessary shimmer is activated by the Glow Cream.

How do you manage to maintain your glow during jet lag?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: I look after my skin consistently, drink lots of water and eat a healthy diet.
Charly Sturm: If possible, I treat myself to a facial treatment or lymphatic drainage at my destination - that works wonders after a long flight.

Are there any cultural influences that have inspired you?
Dr. Barbara Sturm: Nature has a great influence on my philosophy, there are so many magical places with healing powers. It provides us with the energy we need for our health - important for longevity. Being in harmony with nature and incorporating natural elements into our daily routine is essential for our well-being.
Charly Sturm: I am fascinated by the Mediterranean way of life and the Blue Zones, especially the balance between nutrition, exercise and mental balance. For me, a healthy life also means integrating regular moments of pleasure - something I take with me from my travels.

Suppose you could only go to one destination for the rest of your life...
Dr. Barbara Sturm: Gstaad is the perfect place for me. I love the mountains, the peace and quiet... It's the place where I'm happiest.
Charly Sturm: Italy! From beautiful coastlines to impressive mountains - this country is simply a dream.
